Exactly. Both Luck and RGIII had pieces to work with their last seasons, which led to better records and more hype.

Genos defense was one of the worst in the entire nation. They didnt make any noise outside of Geno, which led to him being swept under the rug.

Had he had a top 50 defense at least, they would have been a top 25 team and Geno would probably be the obvious #1 pick right now.

We will see. Not sure why you are arguing with me. You are gonna get your wish with Geno. This may be the most obvious pick in history. I just think it will be a mistake in the long run. Either you will be right or I will be but we wont know for at least 3 years. KC will be taking Geno.

They may have been but the Texas was ranked 11th when they played WVU. WVU was ranked 1st in the country on 3rd down conversions going into that game. Texas limited WVU to 3 of 12 on 3rd down. Good thing for Geno and Co. that they were 5 for 5 on 4th down conversions. Alex Akafor had a big game with 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 hits on Geno. Akafor likely will be a late 1st round pick. Texas also had a strip sack on Geno that went for a TD. When you watch that film you see the Texas D pounding the shit out of Geno. In the face of a heavy rush all game long Geno stands in the pocket with his eyes constantly down the field and threw the ball all over the place. He had 4 TD's in this game.

I want to ask all of you to find film on Geno Smith's game agains LSU his Junior season. He threw for over 400 yards and was flawless... And that is agains Peterson, Honey Badger, and Mingo. He played against the best 2ndary in college football and arguably the best pass rush. I would like everyone to post thier opinion after watching the film of that game. It should erase and questions about him not performing against great defenses or in big games.
