I realize this ejaculation may be abit premature! The process starts over and it's time to throw some names out there to watch. I'll start this show with some guys that I'm interested in and will be watching this year.
D.J Fluker - OT/Alabama
Landry Jones - QB/Oklahoma
E.J Manual - QB/Florida State
Tyler Wilson - QB/Arkansas
Tyler Bray - QB/Tennessee
Manti Te'O - ILB/Notre Dame
DT Sheldon Richardson - Mizzou. 6'4, 295 pounds, runs a 4.7/40 yard dash, absolute freak of an athlete, he returned kickoffs in highschool at 275 pounds. Mizzou doesn't have a lot of options for the D line this year, and I think Richardson will be an absolute monster when called upon! Not to mention they are playing in the SEC, so we will see who Richardson is in a hurry.
No. 123: Sheldon Richardson, No. 34, Defensive Tackle, Missouri
2011 Stats: 37 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks
Strengths:
Richardson was the No. 4 overall prospect by Rivals.com in the class of 2009, but he went the junior college route before making his way back to Missouri. He's a 6'4", 295-pound freak of an athlete who has the ability to take over the line of scrimmage. He was a 2011 honorable mention All-Big 12 selection, and he has the intensity to be the kind of player who demands a lot of attention from opposing offensive lines.
Weaknesses:
He was one of several Tigers to go through spring nursing an injury. Richardson is recovering from shoulder surgery, but is expected to be fine by the start of the season. He relies heavily on his athleticism, which sometimes comes at the expense of technique.
2012 Prediction
The Tigers are relatively thin along the defensive line, so Richardson is being counted on to be one of the leaders as they transition to the SEC. If he is 100 percent healthy, he will be a force for a Tiger defensive line that also features defensive end Brad Madison.
