I'm really not impressed with Geno Smith after that Iowa State game.. he was a little baby. He taunted the student section, he tried pushing over our DC whos up there in age.. hes a classless guy not a leader.

I just have a feeling Geno is gonna be a bust in the NFL. Something about the guy that I cant put my finger on.

I think Tyler Wilson is almost a sure thing. He kinda reminds of me of Jay Cutler..except not as bitchy and more mobile. He's also been a leader for Arkansas during this shitty season for them. I think had he had a better HC and better talent round him, he'd be the top pick, not Geno. Wilson is the perfect guy to build this franchise around and not picking him will be a mistake.

If we draft Wilson 1st/2nd overall, it would be a terrible pick...He isn't that kind of talent...

We need to go BPA and none of this year's crop of QBs are just that...

Now that the college season is just about over I dont see a QB worth the #1 pick this year either. Sign a vet for a season draft BPA and wait for Manziel or MCarron in 14. This team isnt a QB away from SB contention anyway so no need to reach for one that isnt there.

With so many teams already having young QBs maybe Wilson falls to the top of 2 this year anyway. or trade back into the back end of 1 but nobody worth the #1 pick.

I dont like any of the QBs in this draft. I think that if we could get a reliable veteran, cough Orton cough, we would be just fine. Alex Smith looks pissed and someone with that kind of drive could do great things. I think he got dealt a bad card. Maybe a trade for him could be possible. Joe Flacco is the only great QB FA. I doubt he is going anywhere. Jason Campbell maybe.

Maybe we should take Manti Teo number one. This is a shitty year to have the number one pick. We should trade for a QB and take BPA with the first or second pick.

If he's worth trading up to get in the 1st round then just select the guy with the top pick. It isn't much of difference. Either way your counting on the guy being your starter. Your likely going to have to give up a 1st to get back in the 1st round anyway.

Star Lotulelei has the look of a stud but then again we thought Dorsey was a stud when he was drafted. Star looks unblockable one on one. However, he is neutralized in a double team which means he may be better off in the 4-3 where he can get more of those matchups. He may be a tremendous run stuffer but only had 2 sacks in 2010 and 2011. He had 5 in 2012. One thing for sure is that he won't be able to run through NFL O lineman like he does at the college level. We may as well resign Dorsey if we are going to take another DT to save the pick. I think your going to get similar results in this scheme between those 2 players.

There is only 1 linebacker that I can remember going that high and that is Arrington. I'm really not a fan of taking a ILB that high either. No reason in the world why you get find a quality ILB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Why would we waste a top pick on a QB that isn't top pick worthy? Especially with our OL being shit...

If we were to go in a specific area and ignore BPA, OL is the way to go...And even then, I am not too keen on picking any of the QBs in this draft..

BPA/Trade down if possible/OL..Simple..

Just saying that any QB worth trading back into the 1st round is worthy of the top pick. Either way he's going to be your starter. From the film I have seen I like Smith. He is accurate and has the tools to make all the throws. If we don't find a damn QB it isn't going to make a difference what the hell else we do. You can't win if your can't score points. You can't depend on your running game to win you a SB! I think it is almost certain that they will take Smith now.

A bad QB is gonna help this team get better how? Drafting based soley on need is stupid. Teo is gonna be a stud and is about as close to a cant miss as there can be. If this team drafts a QB this year based soley on need and fanbase pressure it will show we are no better an organization than the Raiders. and yes 6 weeks ago I was all about taking a QB in 1. So I am admitting I was wrong now before the draft even happens.

About as cant miss as Aaron Curry? They have nearly identical stats except for the picks. People thought 5 was high to take a cover LB the Curry draft. Your talking about taking one number 1! I would like to know why your calling Smith a terrible QB? Smith is light years ahead of what we have right now in all categories.

I honestly have no clue how anyone can honestly sit there and say they want the chiefs to draft a defensive lineman.. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!??!? ! 3 top 15 picks went on defensive lineman in the past 5 years. Not to mention 2 of them were in the top 5. and you want ANOTHER ONE!!?!? I would be beyond pissed off if the chiefs drafted a D-lineman number one overall. We have to draft the QB we think has the best absolute chance of being a franchise QB. I dont care what anyone says... If you draft a QB that can play at a high level, there is no way that is a reach. Its the future. I think management knows that the fans have been fed up with the QB play and lack of doing anything about it since they drafted Todd Blacklidge. We cant live on washed up ex starters and backups anymore. go out and get your guy!

I agree! I have been hesitant to draft a QB, because I cringe at the thought of getting a bust. Now it doesn't kill you like it did before with the huge contracts if your wrong. We are far enough along now that it has to be done! I didn't watch that Orange Bowl last year. But anybody who can throw for 6 TD's, 400 yards, 73% comp, and break a record held by Tom Brady against a top 15 team has my vote! Smith has done nothing but back that performance up this year stat wise as he has thrown for 70+% completion percentage for this season. All you can do is go out and get a guy with the talent to make all the throws and surround him with the best coaching staff money can buy in my opinion! From there you have to pray for the best.

Have to draft a QB. No if ands or buts about it. Also wouldn't mind going for Vick or hell trade for Alex Smith if the price is right. But still draft a QB.

If you trade for Smith you dont have to draft one with the #1 overall pick this year though. Dalton is better than anything we can get with #1 this year and he was a 2. Going to Genos last years bowl game? try going to this years games when he has had to play an above average defense.
Making a pick out of complete desperation is stupid as hell. It will wind up being a worse pick than Blackledge if it is one of these QBs
