Chiefs also picked up a 2nd undrafted DE after taking one in the 3rd round of the draft. Brandon Bair out of Oregon.

LB Paul Pol and Tully Banta Cain, DT Pat Williams are not going back. come on Pioli. Cain has 15 sacks in last 2 years

The Kansas City Chiefs keep adding undrafted free agents to the team. More specifically, they keep adding offensive tackles. According to word out of North Carolina, the Chiefs will bring in Mike Ingersoll, another offensive tackle, who hails from North Carolina.

Ingersoll is 6'5" and weighs 303 pounds. I'd be lying to you if I said I knew a whole lot more about him than that.

That said, offensive tackle is an area of need for the Chiefs with just three under contract for the 2011 season. That's part of the reason the Chiefs have been adding offensive tackles in undrafted free agency.

We don't have the Chiefs full list of undrafted free agents but according to what's been reported so far this is the third one they've snagged including Virginia Union OT David Mims and Tennessee-Chattanooga OL Chris Harr.

Undrafted free agents are a long shot to make the roster but I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these guys end up on the final 53.

So far, the Chiefs have reportedly picked up Auburn CB Demond Washington, Virginia Union OT David Mims, Tennessee-Chattanooga OL Chris Harr and Texas A&M DT/DE Lucas Patterson.

We've got two more names to add to the list -- Central Connecticut WR Josue Paul and Oregon DT Brandon Bair.

Paul is 5'11", 223 pounds and is listed as a fullback and WR/H-Back. He ran a 4.51 at his pro day and wasn't picked up last April (like most fullbacks).

Chiefs are in serious talks with Santana Moss and are talking to Breaston.

Kelly Gregg is from Wichita. That could help.

Santana and Breaston are the only WRs I wanted. This is great news!

Green Bay ILB Nick Barnett has been told he will probably be released. This could be a good addition.

Pretty fast and furious today, right?

We've got another rumored undrafted free agent pick-up by the Kansas City Chiefs: Michigan State TE Charlie Gantt. This is according to a number of reports on Twitter.

Gantt is a 6'5", 260 pound senior out of Lansing. Our Michigan State blog, The Only Colors, had this to say about Gantt after the 2011 NFL Combine:

For teams who need a solid No. 2 TE in goal line situations, he's a perfect fit. Put him on the backside, have him seal that weak side edge on running plays or he can occasionally slide out and pick up an easy touchdown on a delay or drag route. With his size, he's a natural for this role.

With that blocking tight end point being made, Gantt isn't a bad receiver at all. He had 24, 22 and 19 catches respectively in his final three seasons at Michigan State. He could be another Leonard Pope type as I see it - Basically a guy who isn't exceptional at passing or blocking but could still have the raw skills to develop into a good NFL player.

That makes eight total signings we've heard about, all unofficial of course: Auburn CB Demond Washington, Virginia Union OT David Mims, Tennessee-Chattanooga OL Chris Harr, Texas A&M DT/DE Lucas Patterson, UNC OT Mike Ingersoll, Central Connecticut WR Josue Paul, Oregon DT Brandon Bair and now Michigan State TE Charlie Gantt.

Spoke to #Chiefs CB Brandon Carr today. He hadn't yet heard from the Chiefs on a new contract. He's a restricted free agent as of now.

They probably just are focusing on guys who are unrestricted right now.

Chiefs agreed to terms with C Casey Wiegmann on a one-year contract.
Two other clubs showed interest, but Wiegmann was only going to play if the Chiefs wanted him back. His return should keep second-round pick Rodney Hudson, a college guard the club is converting to center, on the bench for his rookie season. Wiegmann stabilizes a Chiefs offensive line that returns all five starters. He's likely to man the pivot spot in Week 1.

Bob Fescoe is quite possibly the most worthless radio personality on this side of the solar system. But I would pleasure myself using Gatorade as lubricant if we would land someone like Jonathan Joseph to pair with Flowers. As for Hali, he doesn't even play the same position as Charles Johnson.

If Hali and Johnson played in the same scheme they would play the same position.
