Market for OLs is going to be expensive. Khalif Barnes has 4 teams after him. | |

| Sounds like a starting OL wont be signed by us. Honestly I'm content with our current line situation anyways. Obviously we need some reserve tackles though. | |

| We've got another rumored undrafted free agent pick-up by the Kansas City Chiefs: Michigan State TE Charlie Gantt. This is according to a number of reports on Twitter. Gantt is a 6'5", 260 pound senior out of Lansing. Our Michigan State blog, The Only Colors, had this to say about Gantt after the 2011 NFL Combine: For teams who need a solid No. 2 TE in goal line situations, he's a perfect fit. Put him on the backside, have him seal that weak side edge on running plays or he can occasionally slide out and pick up an easy touchdown on a delay or drag route. With his size, he's a natural for this role. With that blocking tight end point being made, Gantt isn't a bad receiver at all. He had 24, 22 and 19 catches respectively in his final three seasons at Michigan State. He could be another Leonard Pope type as I see it - Basically a guy who isn't exceptional at passing or blocking but could still have the raw skills to develop into a good NFL player.

| NFL Free Agency: All Officially Unofficial Signings From Tuesday
NFL free agency is off and running. Like crappy movies, the deals came fast and furious on Tuesday. And that means the sequel on Wednesday will be even faster and furiouser. I tried to compile the most complete list possible using information gathered from ESPN and Pro Football Talk.
I was disappointed to see the Ravens resign Marshall Yanda as he was high on my Raider wishlist. The move was not unexpected though. The Jags made a big splash with Paul Poslusnzy. This either means that Kirk Morrison won't be returning or the Jags are switching to a 3-4. They have solid personnel for a 3-4. Remember that teams and players cannot actually put ink to these contracts until Friday. So some of these may change. Check out the list after the jump....
Arizona Cardinals Tight End Jeff King Baltimore Ravens Guard Marshall Yanda agreed to a five-year, $32 million contract, including $21 million in the first three year. Buffalo Bills Quarterback Tyler Thigpen agreed to three-year deal. Carolina Panthers Defensive end Charles Johnson agreed to six-year, $76 million deal, including $32 million guaranteed. Dallas Cowboys Tackle Doug Free agreed to a four-year, $32 million contract, including $17 million guaranteed. Detroit Lions Kicker Dave Rayner agreed to a one-year contract. Houston Texans Defensive lineman Damione Lewis agreed to a one-year contract. Jacksonville Jaguars Linebacker Paul Poslusnzy agreed to a six-year, $42 million contract. Kansas City Chiefs Center Casey Wiegmann agreed to a one-year $2.25 million contract. Minnesota Vikings Wide Reciever Devin Aromashodu agreed to a one-year contract. New York Giants Offensive Guard Kevin Boothe Oakland Raiders Defensive End Jarvis Moss agreed to a one-year $1.25 million dollar contract. New York Jets Offensive Tackle Wayne Hunter agreed to a four-year contract. Pittsburgh Steelers Cornerback Ike Taylor agreed to a four-year contract. San Diego Chargers Linebacker Takeo Spikes agreed to a three-year contract. Tackle Jeromy Clary agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract, including $8.5 million in 2011 pay. Tight end Randy McMichael agreed to a one-year contract. San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Alex Smith agreed to a one-year contract. Washington Redskins Wide receiver Santana Moss agreed to a three-year, $15 million contract, including $6 million guaranteed. (7/27) Defensive tackle Barry Cofield agreed to terms on a six-year deal worth $12.5 million.

| Cards’ Breaston could follow Haley to Chiefs
Posted: July 27th, 2011 | Chris Bayee | Tags: Steve Breaston, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are interested in signing Cardinals wide receiver Steve Breaston, according to a team source.
Breaston played for Todd Haley in Arizona, and Kansas City is looking to add more firepower to a passing offense that ranked 30th in the NFL during the 2010 season.
The fifth-year pro had 47 receptions for 718 yards and one touchdown this past season. His best season was 2008, when he caught 77 passes for 1,006 yards and three touchdowns."

| Let's pull back those reins a little bit Sly, the O-line (specifically RT) will play a big role in Cassel's production. He absolutely has to make big strides in leading the offense and reading defenses though. | |

| The Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals have moved on from free agent Steve Breaston, and the Chiefs have emerged as the favorites to sign him. Breaston has been on Kansas City's radar all along because of his connections to ex-Cardinals WRs coach Todd Haley, and the Chiefs apparently don't have a problem with his troublesome right knee. In K.C., Breaston would figure to compete outside with first-round pick Jonathan Baldwin for playing time and also see some action in the slot. If the Chiefs sign Breaston, Baldwin probably wouldn't be a 60-snap per game player in his rookie season. | |
