| It was time. He would have been good depth. | |

| This move frees up almost 2 mil in cap. Maybe trying to make a move to get Carr back AND sign Manning.. This would be huge. | |

| I read that Williams was largely being kept for special teams play. Look for KC to pick up a young linebacker in the draft in the mid to late rounds to replace Williams if they dont go with Kuechly. Would be nice to see them use this 2 million to bring in Manning and resign Carr. We would still have the money for Solai, Green Ellis, and Grubbs. If they dont trade up to 2 I still hope they go with Decastro. If Manning is brought in, RT could become the priority in the 1st and that would suck! | |

| The Chiefs line isn't as bad as Cassel made it look, I don't see us reaching for a RT with DeCastro on the board. | |

| Well IF we do sign Manning, O-line automatically becomes our number one priority. We will have to upgrade at at least 2 positions this upcoming season. | |

Really???? Manning would not come to K.C. knowing that we Barry Richardson is all that stands between him and a blitzer ending his career indefinately. If Rieff or Martin is there when the Chiefs pick they HAVE to pick one of the two if Manning some how ends up w/the Chiefs... which I still highly doubt happens.Sorry but getting Manning just isn't Pioli's M.O.

| I think Manning will be very intrigued by us. Any contract that he gets is going to be mostly incentive based so it wont matter that much. Pioli will make a run at him, he would be a fool not too. | |

| Yeah they will make a run for Manning. It's just up to Manning where he decides to go and when. But seems like teams are coming out of the woodwork for him now. If it turns into a bidding war, we won't see Manning here. | |

| I dont think he should want the most money. If he wants that he can go get his ass kicked in Washington for two years then retire. If he wants to win it comes down to us or Arizona I think. | |

Gotta agree with ya. I'm souring a little bit on Martin as a RT though. He seems to be a bit soft for that aside. There's always solid RT prospects early in the 2nd round that can step in right a way. It's still risky though.

| I think this was coming soon..but with the whole Peyton thing it just had to happen now to save us about 2 mil in cap. | |
