| Bill Parcells’ four rules for drafting a quarterback
1. He must be a senior, because you need time and maturity to develop into a good professional quarterback. 2. He must be a graduate, because you want someone who takes his responsibilities seriously. 3. He must be a three-year starter, because you need to make sure his success wasn’t ephemeral and that he has lived as “the guy” for some period of time. 4. He must have at least 23 wins, because the big passing numbers must come in the context of winning games. | |

| Clausen got 15 wins on a team with a shitty defense. Hes a three year starter. Unlike any QB Parcells drafted, Clausen played for our current OC. So I think even Parcells himself would be willing to make an exception in this scenario. | |

| I don't think this is going to scare Shanahan away though... Clausen is a spitting image of the QB he likes to have in his system. Clausen is working out with the Redskins soon, and Rat didn't even work out Cutler but he still traded up to get him in the first round. I think Mike will put a higher premium on the QB position than the LT position like everyone seems to think... I don't know why everyone says Bradford is the QB he wants either.. I can't see that at all. | |

| I've been saying for a long time I think they could take Berry. I think its between Berry, Clausen, or a DT if one falls. | |

| Shanny has to go OL first..wait and take a QB next year..they also tendered Jason Campbell so its not like he's totally out of Washington and they dont have a QB..I heard Shanny considered Campbell the year he was drafted but never got a shot at him..so who knows | |

| He also drafted Cutler while he had Plummer before he had Clady. | |

| Thats true..but Denver still had a decent line..Washingtons line is one of the worst in the league..Im just hoping they dont grab Clausen and he slides to us | |
