Eddie Kennison-WR- Chiefs Jul. 20 - 1:08 am et
Eddie Kennison admits he didn't want to stop playing before signing a ceremonial contract to retire a Chief on Monday.
Kennison had been out of the league since 2008. "The decision to retire was not actually mine," he said. "It was the National Football League or the teams in the National Football League that said, ‘He’s probably too old to play.’ To them, 37 is 107 in dog years." Kennison finished his career seventh all-time on the Chiefs' franchise receiving list. Though he topped 1,000 yards twice and averaged 15.2 yards per catch for his career, he never made a Pro Bowl.
