We should be looking at Henderson and Thomas for sure. Henderson could be a stud for us at Nose.

Jimmy Kennedy is still out there too, he could play NT.

Same with Hollis Thomas, but hes pretty old now.

Flozel Adams is still out there. and TO

Levi Jones is a free agent.. he used to be promising.

The Jags withdrew their RFA tender from LB Clint Ingram who started 12 games last year.

Tom Rock of Newsday reports DT John Henderson is scheduled to visit the Chiefs tomorrow.



Henderson, 31, was released from the Jaguars this morning. SB Nation's Big Cat Country says the "writing has been on the wall" since the Jags drafted three defensive tackles in the last two drafts. He was reportedly on the trade block over the weekend, which might explain why the Chiefs chose to ignore nose tackle in the draft.

He's a massive 6'7", 328 pound defensive tackle. He's played in the Jaguars 4-3 defense since they made him the ninth overall pick in the 2002 draft.

I'm not sure why a 31-year old veteran would be interested in a position switch, especially a switch to nose tackle, which is arguably the most physically demanding position in football.

The Chiefs could choose to make up his mind for him with a big contract offer.

The Chiefs have Ron Edwards, Shaun Smith and Dion Gales as the only nose tackles on the roster.

He's missed just eight starts in his eight year career.

Holy shit! Our defense is ten times better next year with the additions of Henderson and Smith alone at NT!(assuming and hopefullly we sign him!)

I wonder if we sign Henderson he would be a DE like his size would indicate.. does Dorsey move to NT or backup?

The Bucs have also released G Aaron Sears who was a second round pick in 07

I read that they are considering seriously moving Dorsey to NT and letting Henderson play end. Henderson has more rush ability so if Dorsey can hold the fort there than it makes sense. I dont know that Dorsey at 300 can play the nose though.

I would think that Dorsey playing NT would mean we are switching to a 1gap scheme, something Crennel has not experience with.

What is Sears deal? Is he a bust?

I'm really not sure what the story is. I know he wen't AWOL during the summer last year.. I haven't really heard much though.

Thomas left NE on bad terms... we don't sign players that leave Miami or NE on bad terms.

Is Russel Hantz still available?? I heard J.T was a FA now.

Henderson should be here, not in NY where they sign every D-Lineman under the sun. He would make our defense very respectable.
