Aubrayo Franklin - DL - 49ers
The 49ers expect free agent NT Aubrayo Franklin to leave for a mega contract on the open market, according to CSN Bay Area.

Previous reports suggested the Niners would at least make an attempt to re-sign Franklin, but they're already making "contingency plans" for his departure. In need of a prototypical run-plugger for their 3-4 defenses, the Redskins and Chiefs should be Franklin's primary suitors.

I'm for signing him at a decent price.. but if he can't get enough from the 49ers I'm assuming he will want a lot more than hes worth from us. Personally I'd rather have Shaun Smith back and use him and Powe and NT. But if he would sign a good deal here to be on this D then I'm all for it. Either way hes getting paid more than hes worth, I'd just rather not go over the top like it sounds like he wants.
