| Geno smith is not the savior we are looking for. He will take time develop. Alex smith could start day one and we could draft a qb later like nassib to develop behind him. | |

| There is only one QB I want in this class and it's Geno. He's clearly the best guy of the group by a long shot. He has some things to work on no doubt! But good coaching will do along way to correct these things. In most drafts people wouldn't even doubt Geno being a number 1 pick. Now, after a draft with 2 of the best prospects to come out in a generation, people are spoiled! He's not perfect so don't take him! I don't have a problem of getting a veteran as long as it doesn't cost a fortune and it doesn't effect KC taken a QB number 1. The rest of these guys with the exception of Wilson are probably career backups and a waste of a 2nd round pick. | |

| Albert says it not about the money but he will not be disrespected by being asked to move to G. He also said 15 million was a good contract and he wants to stay in KC. If all that is true he should be delighted to get a 5 year, 40 million dollar deal. We will see what you do Mr. Albert! | |

| I love Albert and if we resign him I think we could see our first guard drafted first overall in warmack. The dude is crazy good and I think he and milliner are very good players who start right away and play at a high level. | |

| I think Smith was a good pickup. The man got SF to the NFC championship game in2011. And Should of been in the SB if not for special teams. He really looked good in that playoff run also. From what I remember. And he picked up where he left off last season before getting hurt. And Colin just stole the show. Yes Harbaugh brought it out of Smith. But isn't Reid a QB Guru also. Just saying I like this pick up. | |

Had we given a simple 4th round pick for him, then yes he'd be a decent pickup. We essentially gave up 2 2nd round draft picks for this guy though. We got absolutely raped to the 10th degree in this trade. Its not only idiotic because of what we gave up, but because it shows we are committing to Alex Smith long term. By that I mean he'll probably be our guy for 4+ years. Alex succeeded the last 2 seasons in San Fran for a couple reasons. Jim Harbaugh. Top 5 defense. Top 10 run game. Crabtree, Davis, and others on offense. They made one of the worst QBs in the league look like an actual QB but realistically, he was the same piece of shit they've had since 05.

| Ok our D is missing pieces. Charles gives us a top 5 Run game. Bowe is better than Crabtree. But Davis is a Hall of Famer we don't have. But Moeaki is ok when healthy. I see us adding WR and TE soon. Alex can lead this team. I think he will be fine. Just have to agree to disagree. And see what happens. | |

| Smith is a great pickup for a 5th rounder. He is an awful pickup for OUR 2nd rounder. Sure he's a good veteran game manager when you limit him and only let him throw to his first read or dump it off, but he's not the franchise QB we want. Perfect to hold the fort for a year or two and let this running game and defense do its think until our guy is ready. But the rumored compensation is far too rich. | |

| If we add Jermicheal Finley, good WR opposite Bowe, and shore up our interior o line then we have a better offense than San Fran. We don't have a niners defense. But we won't be playing in a Super Bowl next season. And I don't think giving up these picks means we are committed to Alex Smith long term. It's just what it took for them to get the guy that gives us the best chance to win now. | |

If Reid is just waiting for next years draft to find his franchise guy I would have rather signed some middle of the pack QB FA and save the draft picks. If nothing else try to grab Flynn from Seattle for a much cheaper price. Then he can backup the rookie next season.

| Has Maualuga signed yet? Not sure how to spell it. Read somewhere that he might be suited well at ILB in 3-4 scheme. | |

| Impending free-agent LB Rey Maualuga was inconsistent in the first half, and he suggested teammate LB Vontaze Burfict might be further along than he is at middle linebacker. Maualuga could be kept around as an outside linebacker, but he might be a bitter fit as an inside linebacker in the 3-4 defensive scheme, or as an outside linebacker in the 4-3 defense.

Might not be too expensive and fills a need.

| he Philadelphia Eagles have taken virtually their entire braintrust to Morgantown, West Virginia today to hold a private workout with Mountaineers QB Geno Smith. Pro Football Talk is reporting and Adam Caplan has confirmed that Chip Kelly, Howie Roseman and even owner Jeff Lurie were all present.
It may be no more than due diligence, but it's some serious due diligence if that is the case. There are a lot new things going with the Eagles these days, but I'm not sure I ever remember hearing about Jeff Lurie going on a scouting trip. You have to think that Geno Smith at least has the chance to impress the Eagles enough to garner serious consideration with that #4 overall pick.
The Eagles currently have 5 QBs on their roster with Michael Vick, Nick Foles, Dennis Dixon, Trent Edwards & GJ Kinne. The latter 3 are entirely expendable so probably no hindrance to bringing in a rookie. Vick is only here on a one year deal, so could certainly be seen as a placeholder that would allow a rookie to sit for most of his first season.
As for Foles, if the Eagles did in fact draft Geno Smith you'd have to think a trade of him would not be far behind.
Interestingly, another QB prospect, Matt Scott from Arizona will be in Philly today to meet with coaches.

| Eagles looking at Geno. I don't see how they can get around drafting on OT unless they get one in FA. | |
