Hopefully the Joeckel rumors today are just ploys to gain a little leverage with Albert. He wants to be in KC. yeah but only if we make him one of the highest paid LT's in the league. Albert is not worth what he is "reportedly" asking. Not with lingering back problems. Granted Roaf supposedly had back problems when the Chiefs signed him, but Albert is NOWHERE near the caliber player that Roaf was.

| Lets just take Leon Sandcastle. WR/KR/CB. fills plenty of holes and we get BPA | |

| kind of depends on how active Dorsey wants to be in FA market. Need upgrades at CB, ILB, and WR. If he wants to retain Bowe and maybe also go out and get another WR like Wallace or Jennings, may make sense to let Albert walk and not pay him the 10 mil per. heard Jennings is wanting 14 mil per though. | |

| I think Brandon Albert deserves the 9-10 mil that he is reportedly asking for. He IS and elite LT when he is healthy. He has been nothing but solid since he has been in the league. Last season gave up only one sack and 8 QB pressures and is a mauler in the run game. I find it hard to believe that Joekel is going to come in day one and be that level of player. | |

| It's not good that Reid publicly said Albert had health concerns... | |

| Well with Alex Smith on board it will be LT. I am starting to think Dee Milliner would be great if we do resign Albert. | |

| We better make this 1st pick count. Now that we don't have a 2nd. Wondering if we don't trade out to get more picks. | |

| I bet Dorsey does what he can to trade out of the first spot and get more picks. Some team that falls in love with Geno might want to move up ahead of the Jags to draft him. That would make Dorsey look like a freaking genius. | |

Nobody is gonna fall in love with any of these QBs for the #1 overall pick. That part of KCs thin king I get. I even get going after A. smith. But to give up so much for him even before the new year begins on the 12th is dumb. I hope this means they are gonna let a LT with back issues walk.

Supposedly a 2nd this year and 3rd next year that could turn into another 2nd if Alex Smith wins so many games.

I would rather go with Milliner than Joeckel also. No CB has ever been taken at 1 before, but he's one of the best in this draft and we have a need at CB. That being said, Joeckel will be the pick.
