The Kansas City Chiefs announced their team captains for this season. Here they are:

Defense: Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry

Offense: Matt Cassel, Ryan Lilja

Special Teams: Terrance Copper, Dustin Colquitt

The starting QB is pretty much always going to be captain unless he is a rookie or something.

It is interesting our two worst offensive players were the ones voted captains... while two of our three best defensive players were voted captains.

Cassel isnt getting benched hes getting 5 year 120 million dollar extension from pioli next week

Do you like to make yourself look stupid? I wouldn't be surprised if Cassel did come back, but he is not going to make anywhere close to the amount of money he did that first contract, if he even is retained.

Just going back to what you guys sounded like when Cassel had his fluke year against high school level competition. it sounded stupid then just like it does now

You can make any QB look good. Weis used him a way that made Cassel look good. Haley refused to go that way, because players adapt to him, he doesn't adapt to them.

Rich Gannon is a great example of a bad QB looking good. Grudon limited him for more than what Weis did with Cassel.

Gannon would've won us a SB! I always liked to watch him play and was so pissed when he left. I have always liked a mobile QB! I liked Trent as well. He was a damn site better than Cassell!

Trent Green was a guy who could pas for 4000 yards each season behind a solid run game. Cassel cant even do that. For the most part, Green did what he was supposed to do. Our D was atrocious though.
