Brees or Nicks?

That is the dilemma in New Orleans..It is being reported that the Saints and Brees are a "ways apart" in contract talks and they may be forced to put the franchise tag on him leaving UFA Carl Nicks and Marques Colston free agents..

If the Saints tag Brees, we get Nicks, but if they tag Nicks (which I doubt) we HAVE to go after Brees..Give the guy his contract...

Drew Brees running this offense is a pipe dream, but man...

Getting Nicks would be beastly. Brees will be tagged for sure if they dont reach a deal.

Drew Brees will be tagged.

Carl Nicks will leave via free agency simply because he's looking for a crazy monster deal.

Losing Nicks increases the chances of Colston coming back if he signs at the right price.

Same situation as us. We just paid Flowers, now we have Carr and Bowe. They just gave a guard more money than any other guard in the NFL now their other guard wants it as well. Brees gets tagged and the guard walks.

Nicks would be great to have, but hes not the best guard in the NFL so we shouldn't pay him like it.

I think he is the best guard in the NFL, who is then? Nicks would automatically upgrade our run game allot.

The only one I can think of might be Josh Sitton but I dont think he is as good as Nicks.

Maybe he should try being the best guard on his TEAM first.

Try Jahri Evans. The other guy they just gave 60+ million for.

I think he is better than Evans. Evans might be a better blocker in space but Nicks is the most dominant trench blocker in the NFL. That is what we need.
